Another project done.

Today after we came back from Walmart, we set to the task of trying to get our good Internet connection back up and running without boring any holes on the floor. We got a. New connection wire. Then he cranked the push out in just a couple of inches and we were able to put the wire through it and crank it back out again. Mission successful! Ya. Love this Internet hook up!

Next we set to the task of building our new stairway for the front steps.

-now we only have to get a railing and put on it.

Next I went to the garden and planted three tomato plants.

And I put plastic around the bottom to protect them from the wind , etc.
Hopefully these three will give us some good tomatoes. Later I will plant more.

Brings tears to my eyes!

Today when we stopped at the post office for our mail, I had a yellow slip telling me we had a package. Now we had not ordered anything so who would be sending us a package?

It was addressed to me. The return address told me that Bette Anderson sent it to me. I had worked with her husband Jim for years before he retired. And he has been gone for a number of years now.

I finally got thru all the tape and opened it. Unfolded the letter and it was from a child. Andrew wrote a very nice note and told me that he had given 67 prayer shawls to people who have or have had cancer. His own mom has cancer. He wanted to bring it to me in person, but with Eagles and school was not able to do so.

Now personally I don't know the child, but I do know his grandma and his late grandpa. His grandmother had told me that his mother had cancer.
I do not know how old Andrew is, but he is special! He brought tears to my eyes! I must meet this young man!

Very beautifully knit. I shall always treasure it. Plus every time I see it now I will be reminded to also include his mother in my prayers!
Thank you very much Andrew!

Our new home

Arrowhead Acres Campground, Clinton , Illinois.

Our lot number.

Our shed and picnic area, corner of deck.

View of our patio area.

Home sweet home.

Front view.

Three slide outs. And propane for cooking and heat.

If you stepped inside the front small door you step into my bedroom. There is storage above the bed and under the bed.

View out the front. And yes, that is cabinets around the front.

Here is a better view of the cabinets I have in the front bedroom across the front. Am hoping I can set my sewing machine up and sew inside these windows when I get the urge to do some sewing.

My closet. Drawers on bottom and storage on top. Floor to ceiling.

From my bedroom you step into the big bath room. We now have a shower. I love it instead of having to step up so high to get into the tiny tub we used to have!

The door knob of the coat closet that is in the bath room and the vanity area.

Storage behind the toilet.

Looking into the living room, kitchen and dining room. Love that we have a table and chairs. By the dehumidifier is the pantry. Instead of being 6 inches wide it is about 18 inches deep. Another plus!

Below is a photo I took before we moved in shows the pantry and the back bedroom window.

Kitchen are across the other side. Cabinets along the top are very roomy. Big size refrigerator. Same old stove. Which I will not use. I don't like burning the middle of my pans when I baked. I will use the toaster confectionary stove on the counter Top.

Living room, tv area. Tv is hung on a swivel arm and we mounted a shelf under it to hold the DVR and blue ray player.

Then the back bedroom. The top bunk is folded up giving more head room.

Bus's closet and drawers.

And the half bath in the back of the camper. The cabinets here in the bathroom, serve as closet space for Bud's clothes. Even put his shoes under the sink. (Note to self: if that sink ever leaks I shall have to replace his shoes) oh well....it works!

Here's the floor plan.

Can they possibly put anything else on the ceiling?
Two air conditioner ducts and two lights. Big air conditioner vent. Ceiling fan and smoke alarm.

My view if I am laying in bed. A wonderful view of the lightning storms we have been having lately.
Also have the pull down blinds throughout except the kitchen window and back bedroom window. No not darkening blinds, but at least not those ugly metal blinds.
I still have things in the shed that I have to sort and take care of, but mostly it is done and it is HOME!
Thanking God we had nice weather the days that we moved in. And not the rain we are getting this week.

The view out the patio door from my chair. Paco loves being inside this door and being able to see outside and sitting in the sun. Just don't turn off the heat and leave and expect the sun to keep him warm. The sun hid and he was cold when we got home today. It was only 66 inside what is he complaining about. Poor guy thought we were trying to freeze him.

Since we had eaten out a lot the week we moved in I purchased steak for the first meal in our new home. I did cook them outside on the grill, but here he is a HĂ ppy CAMPER his wife finally made a meal at home.

Even Paco loves his new home! He spent time with Mary and the dogs while we were moving but was glad to come back home again! Just glad he didn't learn how to bark like a dog that week!

Good news for a change

Yesterday Bud had a scan done to let us know if the graft they put in to correct the anuyerism was leaking or if it was working the way it was supposed to. They also included the kidney area where the other one is to see if it had grown any and would have to be corrected soon.

When the doctor came in and told us ALL Is looking GOOD! I had a sigh of relief! Then graft is exactly where they put it and looking great. Doing its job and the other one is still the same size. Recheck in a year!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!

Laundry done

When we finished cleaning up the old trailer, we came to Decatur. Picked up the title at the bank and came over to the Ramada Limited. From there I headed to the laundry. Yep, tons of blankets and quilts. 3 extra large washers and four regular washers. But two hours later I was done. I know I was tierd, and some thought I should relax, but guess I am more and more like my mom. I just go as long as there is something that needs to be done then stop when I have completed it.
Went to Steak and Shake for some for then came back and I ditched my shoes and took an extremely ot shower.
Then I began to relax.

Loading truck

We are in the midst of getting a new trailer. Therefore we needed to empty this one. We rented a uhaul truck, and packed up our things. The liquor store had boxes we were able to get. No lids but that was okay. Yesterday after we got the truck we put the things into the truck I was reminded of the song. Can't remember all of it, but this is what I was thinking. "All my possessions, all my dreams" . Well not quite all our things the shed seems to be running over too as I had out all my sewing stuff possible in the shed so that I would not have to deal with everything tomorrow afternoon/evening after our new one was delivered.

So this was our last night in what has been our home for the past three years. We load his bed, the two rockers into the truck, put all the laundry into the car and clean today. First we have to take the things in the car to Encore. Tonight we will be in the hotel. I sure hope they have a hot tub too!

My back and legs sure could use a hot tub soak.
