Are my windows too clean?

A number of days ago, i went out the door and closed it behind me.
I was working on something in front of the shed when I heard it.
WHAM. I looked up and Bud was staggering backward holding his head.
He had walked smack dab full speed ahead into the patio door.

I had just cleaned the windows. Hahahaha

Reminded me of the commercial on tv about the clean windows.

This week one morning before I got up I heard another thud. Something had hit the patio door. When i got up this is what I found:

So I got a plastic bag for his burial and turned him over.
Oh, no it is one of our pretty ones that visit the feeders daily.

May you rest in peace little Buddy.

So in conclusion.....my windows and doors must be too clean. Why else would my husband walk into the door and the birds fly into them?

Chase fun. And Kenley first overnight visit to grandma's

Thursday afternoon, Kim sent me a text that Chase had been running a fever off and on all day. Told her if she needed me to I would watch him on Friday.
She gave him some tylenol before she left for work. He still wanted to cuddle some. But, when grandma got one the floor to play with him. He had lots of energy then.

He climbed and bounced.

Wait, i may need to call 911.

Hey. Grandma, you okay?

That evening both Chase and Kenley ran in the fun run.

All suited up and numbered.

Watch out here she comes.
That night Kenley was going to spend her first night alone at grandma's house.

All packed up ready to go.

Bye mom, dad and Chase.
When we got to the campground. I needed to fill up the bird feeders.

She was such a big helper!
We set up her bed at the foot of my bed, but when I checked later she was having trouble going to sleep. That close to the floor I didn't blame her. So I ask if she wanted to sleep in the big bed with grandma.
Settled her in for the night in the big bed and she was soon fast asleep .
However. 5:30 am she is ready to get up and go see if the birds are eating our food. Plus she wanted a golf cart ride.

Almost 7 a.m. She wants to go honking the horn and waking up everybody around.
Breakfast we had fresh baked muffins and made from scratch pancakes.
She even colored hers green and yellow. (Grandpa wanted his plain).

We also spent time in the yard. Squirting the trees and shrubs and a few squirts on our feet. Lots of golf cart rides, petting the puppies, and playing on the playground.
For lunch we did Subway. When I put her in the car there she wanted her blanket. And I told her she needed to stay awake for 30 more miles.
I kept asking her what color the tractors were that we saw. And if there were any horses or cows.
When we got to the house, I knew she would take a good nap for dad.
Chase saw us from the toy room window and started screaming. When dad let him out. He came running . She wanted a hug, but he passed her to get to grandma. But, daddy wanted his hugs from her.
She was tired, but we had one fantastic time!
Love you Buggins!
Thanks for being such a good girl and having so much fun with me and grandpa.

Mr Johnson you. Need new ones!

The other day Bud got a call from a man whom i had done sewing repairs for in the past. Even tho we live up by Clinton he seemed to know that I still came to Decatur to church and wanted to know if i could repair some pants for him again.

When I stopped to pick them up he. Also. Had a shirt he wanted new buttons put on. The ones that were on the shirt came out of the. Button holes much too easily. And since he is a rather large man i'm sure that didn't help matters any.

As i was getting ready to leave he ask me to wait he had taken his. Belt off and needed to change clothes, he was sure the pair he had on also needed repair. I really wasn't keen on working on his dirty clothes, but did the seam in the one that had come open then tackled those next. There was not only the rip in the crouch that needed a repair, but a few other places that i could see were going to be holes or were already small holes, so I worked on them too.

8 buttons, just a hair bigger then the ones that I took off.

I do believe that this is the one and only time these two pair will be able to be repaired. I don't know what he does for a living, but I do know he. Is very hard on his jeans.

Thanks Mom for teaching me how to repair jeans. This was not the neatest job I've done, and the material was a different color. But hope he at least will Be able to get a few more months out of these. Clothes before he has to replace them.
