Simple- Not fancy- But its home here on earth.

Our new place is not fancy by far. But I am enjoying it more and more each day.
Behind the kitchen sink I am able to display some of my green/blue glass ware.
The depression glass in the center was my grandmother's.
The blue vase which is holding my wooden roses is one of the last things my mother gave me.

I had to divide the kitchen in 1/2 to get photos.
I did keep the small refrigerator which I use to store my water. ( I like cold water).Plus this is an educated refrig. It went to college with my daughter..:)
On top of the refrig is Bud's Christmas present last year (his ice maker) and by putting a rug place mat runner on top of it, I have an excellent place for the toaster.
The two small pantries is our food supply. (I cannot believe how neatly Bud put the food in them). Almost like a grocery store shelf. Wonder how long they will stay neat? Then I did put Paco's house in the dining area. He hides the vacuum cleaner and rug shampooer till I can get the closet in the laundry room cleared so I can store them there.

The other half of the kitchen...OOPPS my book bag/lunch bag sitting on the floor and counter ready to go to work.
I am greatly pleased with the fact I have a dish washer. And a very quiet one at that.

OH---Can't forget Paco---He is loving it that we let him out and he gets to spend time with us. But when he gets real noisy, he has to go back inside and the orange blanket covers his cage for time out.

The right half of the living room shows how many DVD's we actually have between the two of us. OH WAIT--- Kim and Clay have some of our Friend's DVD's so that portion of the shelf is still empty.

The other half of the living room shows where my husband spends much time in his chair watching tv or at the table working on his computer.

My Work Room?
This is the place where I can scan my photos----Work on my quilts and store all the sewing supplies. Yes, it is still a big mess, but it is functional.

My computer area and my table where I have my tv so I can watch movies when I quilt. And hopefully set my sewing machine on later to do a bit of sewing.

My future grandchild's quilt in process of being put in frame to be hand quilted.

Our bedroom: Some small child once ask why Bud and Verna had hotel beds.
I love the fact that we can walk around both beds to make them.

My bed has a quilt on it that I made when I was single.....years and years ago.
It has my maiden name and date embroidered at the top.
I do love the design.

Here is the quilt rack that I am able to display the afghan that my mother had started when she passed on, and I finished. I had purchased her the yarn, and for the time that it took me to finish this project, I sat crocheting and crying.....I know some of my brothers thought I should give it to the estate to be auctioned off, but I firmly remember telling them. I taught Mom how to crochet, I purchased the yarn, and if I sit and finish this project---No you don't get it, I am keeping it!

So, no it is by far NOT FANCY... But for now it is home.

NOW, I'd best get busy and get payroll done and get my desk cleaned off.
Off to work I go.
Have a great day!!!!!

we only have 3 of the seasons of Friends right now so that doesn't cause that big of a hole.... although we will take the rest of them next weekend if you remember them... looks like a nice little place.
