What Does God have in store for us?

Dreaming of spring and summer:

One Door Closes..Another Opens Revelations 3:8

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go, only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly! 'The power of one sentence!

God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can close..
The above was in a e-mail that I received this morning. Makes me think, wonder, what does God have in store for each of us? Are we willing to let go and let things happen and trust in him completely or do we still want to keep our fingers on things and try to control them ourselves?

As I sit here today longing for summer and there are snow flurries outside. I will try and fully trust him and let go........Where will it lead?
P.S. The above photos were taken at my niece's wedding at Rockome Gardens.

Grandma--take care of those eyes

I'm sure if Kenley could speak she would tell me "Grandma take care of those eyes".

First smile actually captured with a camera....... I sure am looking forward to seeing more of these smiles in days to come!!!

And in that case, YES, I must take care of my eyes.

DRY EYES... have learned a lot in this past week.

Eye drops..... No two are alike! The doctors office gave me a number of samples. Told me which ones they recommended the most. (The ones they said they felt were the best).

I find that this is not always the correct ones for me. My sensitive eyes, turned redder, and itched more. At first I thought it was just because my eyes were so dry and they were probably just getting lubricated the way they should be. My blurred vision was better, but oh my they sure did hurt.

So, on my lunch hour the other day when I had a terrible head ache I headed to CVS to check my blood pressure and see if they had cheaper drops that just might work.

Since I didn't have a whole lot of moola in my pocket I choose the cheaper drops. They were actually less then $ 5.00 YAAAA.... The ones I had purchased at Walmart on Saturday were over $ 10.00 a bottle.

Results--- The Systane Lubricant Eye drops which are to be long lasting relief Soothing comfort dry eye therapy are not for me... LONG LASTING? I didn't call every hour long lasting at all. I now have a full bottle (unopened) that is of no use to me. Plus the one that I have opened and tried to use.

So far since I started using the CVS brand Dry eye relief eye drops (Lubricant eye drops) my eyes are beginning to feel better. I am sure it will take time to get them lubricated the way they should be. I would rather do drops then do the surgery at this time. As sensitive as my eyes are I am skeptical about doing the surgery.

SO Kenley, Yes, Grandma is trying to take care of those eyes so she can see your pretty smiles.

Am also keeping close watch on my BP
That noon it was 135/90 a bit high for me, and yes I had a hugh head ache.
Later in the afternoon it came back down to 118/82.
After sleeping over 8 hours that night I started feeling better, and felt more like myself.

Why oh why did my BP go up like that?
That question remains unanswered.

Research--Anybody know anything about DRY EYES?

This past week I had to go back to the eye doctor to get a test done as a follow up from 6 months ago. Praise God I do not have glaucoma.

But when I mentioned to the gal that I could not see the tags on the grocery Ilse when I was standing at the end of looking what was in the ilse.
And that my eyes were scratchy she mentioned that it could be dry eyes.... So she proceeded to put that testing paper under my lower lid and had me close my eyes for 5 minutes....That was the longest 5 minutes ever.... It felt like she put fire in my eye. that is how bad they burned.

When the doctor came in he told me that I definately had DRY EYES.... SO dry that the insurance company wouldn't give me any fits if I wanted to do the surgery instead of the drops.

At the moment, I am on eye drops in hopes that I will not need to do the punctal plug.
My eyes are so sensitive... and I simply do not know....
Anybody have any experience in this field?

I KNOW KIM, YOU TOLD ME TO JUST GET IT DONE. But, you know how I am about someone messing with my eyes.... I Simply do not know.
Even the eye drops make my eyes red and itch more.

WHAT is God trying to tell me?

This week, I have had to think....What is God trying to tell me?

The ants on my desk, or crawling up the walls.

The deer running in front of the office---being chased by a dog in the middle of the day. OH, YES and in the middle of the CITY.

More of that slushy icy white stuff today. Giving all of us the blaaas.

Work..... like I have never seen it before in the almost 30 years of service here...(There simply is NONE). Mandatory days off for the guys who are hourly.

Being TOTALLY BORED sitting here all day with not much on our desks to do.

So what is God trying to tell me?

The ants, not as many as there were (They (the boss) promised they would spray) but still those ants that come creeping across my papers, My thumb must seem like a # 10 shoe to them. They are so tiny. Yes, I know they are God's creatures too. But this week I have seen enough of them and dealt with so many of them, I end up heading straight for the shower when I get home, just to get that creepy, crawly feeling gone from my skin.

Especially since I answered the phone the other day and as I was talking to the customer I all but freaked out....He was on my hand crawling toward my face. He must have been on the phone receiver when I picked it up.

Then you go to the bathroom..... and call me paranoid, But YOU MUST LIFT THE TOILET SEAT BEFORE SITTING, just to make sure there are none there before you sit down.

I find them crawling up the wall in the bathroom and also right behind my desk. I have to wonder---are they climbing the ladder of success? Just where do they think they are going?

Today being Friday I always have more to do since it is Payroll day and have the time cards to post after I get done.

Sitting here around noon, All of a sudden I squealed...."There go two deer right past my window" In our Yard heading South, and close behind them there is a dog chasing them.

We are almost in the middle of the City here and yet we have deer running around us.

We laughed. One of the fellows wives had just been in to pick up his check. She was still parked out front and on the phone. They headed straight at her car. Then turned and went around the tavern next door into the woods. Had they been two minutes earlier would they have ran over Debbie? I opened the door and she opened her car door and declared." Did you see that? Awesome"

One customer today on the phone declared that I have been at that job for over 100 years. Some days it sure feels that way.

Seems like everything around me is running away from something. The ants trying to get away from my thumb. The deer from the dog...(Oh, yes, someone on facebook said they were running away from the ants)....

Is God telling me to be like the ants consistent, keeping looking up and being determined to survive? Or is he telling me I need to run in a different direction and trust him as I am doing so?

Tonight while sitting here, Paco is running around on the floor , he is checking everything out. Even climbed up into the bookcase. What is he looking for?

Is God trying to tell us that we too should trust him, he will care for us just like he does the ants, deer and even the birds like ours. Paco is totally dependant on us to feed him and care for him, he trusts us to satisfy his every need, Just like we should trust God to take care of us.

If we do our part, all things will work out.

WATCH OUT CHICKENS---I MAY COME AFTER YOU FOR YOUR FEATHERS!

No, I did not make these. I wish I could take credit for them, but I cannot.
However I did ask the ladies who made them if i could have one and I grabbed my handy camera and took photos of some of the others so I could enjoy their handiwork.

I believe it was the ladies from the Shelbyville Free Methodist Church that made these lovely table decorations that were used at last summers Women's One Day Conference that I was able to attend.

I think they did a wonderful job!!!!!

BUT, WATCH OUT CHICKENS ----- I may come after you for your feathers so that I too might try and make a few of these beautiful table decorations.
