Deer Hunting.

We went deer hunting last night.     Nope    no bow and arrow and no shot gun.
We took my camera.

When I got home last night Bud said Momma deer and her two babies went west along the cornfield. He was not fast enough with his phone to get mama,  but did manage to capture the babies before they went in behind that shed.

We had seen her the other night.  We were actually close enough to her that she raised that right leg, as if she was telling us to move on and get lost, these were her babies.

Then we saw this one in the middle of the side road.

She went into the bean field with her two babies.

The babies were so small yet that they had to raise their heads up or all you saw was their little ears.  Almost looks like a bunny ear straight up from the date on my camera photo.

Once again, this guy had one standing in his front yard.  We had seen one there on Saturday and she looks like she belongs there.  Stood there like a statue.

From there we drove back down the road coming in from Rt. 51 where I had seen the big buck the other night.  We went down this gravel driveway into the field where we saw there were some in the clearing in the back.   There must have been 50-100 of them back there.  The sound of the wheels on the gravel sent them scurrying into the woods with their white tails bobby.... Did manage to catch one on camera...Next time we need to park and walk and be very quiet. Then perhaps we will see the fellow in the photo below.

So yes, we went deer hunting.  But we wouldn't hurt them at all.  Jerri told Bud this morning after the back of the campground is closed down all we will have to do is go out our back door to see them. So I am sure I will be doing more deer watching this fall/winter.
