Totally official

Well it is totally official now... Just came from the Social Security office....Am signed up that I am retiring as of December 31, 2011.......

Paper work all done.  Thanks Mrs. Meyers for doing all that work for me.

Just a note:   there are those who do not realize that I have two blogs....one is on the things that I have made.  It allows me to log the different things I have made and know when I made them and for whom they were made.

Sheppards Pie

Sheppards Pie

1 lb hamburger, browned and drained

1 can cream mushroom soup

1 can corn, drained

1 can mushrooms, drained

1 can green beans, drained

3-4 cups cheddar cheese

Mashed potatoes to cover (6 servings of the instant)

Brown beef and drain. Put in bottom of oval casserole dish.  Cover with veggies of choice and then spread cream of mushroom soup on top.  Place layer of cheese (about 2 cups) on top of soup.  Then cover with mashed potatoes and remaining cheese.

Bake 350 for 30 minutes or until heated thru and cheese melted.

Now I don't have a oval casserole so I used a cake pan.

It looked so yummy.

Of course Bud is always skeptical about trying new dishes and told me that there was a Burger King nearby just in case.

However he too enjoyed our Sheppards Pie last night.

Thanks Kim for the recipe.  Now I have lunch today also here at the office.

However, I must say I goofed and put the mushroom soup under the veggies...wonder if that is why it was just a tad runny? 

The Happy Family (My new grandson has arrived)

 Introducing Chase Thomas to his big sister- Kenley.

Chase Thomas  was born 11-3-2011   weighed in at 8 lbs 14 oz.

Congratulations to my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter on the new addition to the family.  So grateful that he has arrived and is doing okay.

Kenley, you will be a awesome big sister! And will teach him many new things in the years to come.
Grandma loves all of you!

WHOW.............

Last Thursday night when I pulled up in front of my daughters house this is what I saw when I stopped the car.   Crap...... no wonder it took me so long to get there. I thought I was going much faster.....I bet those people on Towanda Barnes Road thought I was nuts. Because I bet I was barely moving.

Yesterday morning when I came into work I drove 110 according to this speedometer.  Now it is hanging down where the trip meter registers.

They are telling us that it is over $500 to fix this....OUCH......

Discussion to be had this evening....Bud wants to go to a one car family since I am getting ready to retire soon.  I DO NOT THINK THAT WILL WORK.  So what do we do...fix this or make some major changes?   Guess time will tell.
