Recouping

Surgery went as well as we could expect. Tho they did accidentally, crack the bone when they put the new rod in. He did well enough when doing therapy that he did not qualify for their rehab center and too well to go to the nursing home for their therapy , so they sent him home. After two weeks here we now have things down to a better routine. Taking him To the bath house for daily showers, meals, cleaning, and keeping up with daily things. Nap time or quiet time, I try and get some rest when he is resting unless I have to go to town formal, groceries or to the laundry so we have clean clothes. He can now get to the front porch on his own but it is easier if he has help getting the walker in and out.
Some days are worse then others. The guys next door made a hand railing for our steps and that has made it easier to get out.

Now when it cools off a bit we want to get it painted.
Darrell took the arm guard off the golf cart so I can get him on and off of it too. But the first time he road the bumps got to him. So that's still a limited activity.
Saturday, I was in and out all day, trying to help with the craft sale here at the campground to help pay for the fireworks. It was so stinking hot that day. I do believe I drank 7 bottles of water if not more then that. Sunday the temps were 25 degrees cooler so when we sat outside he was cold due to being on blood thinners .

Glad to hear that Bud is doing so well. Bless your heart for being such a good wife. I know he would do it for you, too. Take care of yourselves.
