Must it end?

Must this wonderful week end come to a end?

Monday morning, Back to work we go. Must the fun from the week end come to a end?

Friday, I was privileged to go to Bloomington (1 hour away) to accompany my daughter, son-in-law and his mother to go see the sonogram.

No, we do not know if our up coming grandchild is a boy or girl. We turned our heads and closed our eyes so that it will be a surprise. They didn't even log it on the report they sent to the doctor, so the doctor will not be able to accidentally let it slip.

Saturday, I headed out the other direction (1 hour) to Arthur. Stopped at the Mennonite Relief sale and had lunch with 3 of my brothers and their wives.
The auction was playing havoc with my ears so I left there and cut down the country roads stopping at the Amish store and then on to visit a double first cousin.

Ida was thrilled that I stopped to see her. It never ceases to amaze me anytime I go she will speak Pennsylvania dutch to me and I will answer her in English.
Only when Kim was younger and with us I would remind them that she couldn't understand the Pennsylvania dutch and would they please speak English so that she too could understand what was being said.

From there I stopped by my nieces house to change clothes before going to the Reunion at Yoder's. Seeing people from my childhood days and hearing all the good stories that others were telling.
It was a great evening! But, very late when I got to bed.
I am not a very good night time driver. I simply detest driving in the dark. So I stayed on the road that is less traveled so I wouldn't have so many head lights coming at me.

Sunday - Our church had services in Fairview Park. It was down right chilly.
I ended up going to the car and getting a blanket for friends of mine who were older so that they could put it over their laps and legs and stay warmer.
Didn't seem as tho anyone really stayed long after the potluck. Everybody wanted to get in where it was warmer.

Who would have thought that August has cooler temperatures?

But this morning it is back to work.......yuck...yuck... I did not want this wonderful week end to end. Lots and lots of good food and good fellowship with family and friends.

Did you know your Christmas counter appears to be broken? I only have like 140 days left until my due date and that's in Jan but your counter says 222 days until Christmass ;o)

How can it say 222? It shows 115 when I pull up my blog this morning. Guess I'll have to keep tab on it.

How sweet you were able to go with your daughter! What exactly is Pennsylvania Dutch? What fun times! It is cold, but I love it!

Weird! It still said 222 but when I hit refresh it went to 115, so nevermind.....

Hi Verna..

Sorry to be so tardy in getting back to blogging..this summer has been very tiring and long..but not in a good way with all the work training and crazy work load for me..yuck!..I get off at 10 pm, and then have to be back at 6 am and then get off at 2 pm and have to go back at 10 pm...ya it was that fun...but only 9 days left of training and then I am back to my schedule...unless one of our longest employee's really quits like she says she is going to and then its back to do it all over again.."sigh" pray for us "k"!

Your weekend made me long to be with you! Sounds heavenly...I bet your week has been going by better for the joy of it all! Blessing Vena..oxoxoxo shi~

So sorry you had to go back to work! :(

I think it's great that your daughter isn't finding out the sex of her baby! We haven't found out with any of ours, and we're not finding out this time either. It's seriously the BEST surprise ever!

:)

Verna,
My apologies! I didn't get on here and thank you sooner!
We got the bib last week. That was soooo sweet of you!
The hole is too big for Eli, too, but I think I can alter it to fit. It's a great size bib, and a fun color, too.
Thank you so much for thinking of us!! :)
