Tierd of coughing, and being locked in own house

Last week end on Friday and Saturday my nose was like a dripping faucet. To the point that I did not get to go see my adorable granddaughter.
I spent the whole day in bed. I cannot tolerate a lot of medicines, therefore, I buy Children's meds to keep my allergies under control.
I purchased Children's Mucinex Cough Expectorant and it states it is alcohol-free.... Between it and my nighttime allergy meds I now have it down to a minimum cough if I keep taking the Mucinex every 4-6 hours.

With the weather being so cold outside, and it raining and snowing off and on, we have been having problems with our door locks.
I do NOT like having to take a blow dryer to warm up the lock to be able to get my back door open. Bud had treated the lock with the de-ice stuff before he left on Wednesday, but as I was cleaning the bathroom I saw the bottle of :

Sitting under the cabinet. Now I knew it was what we used to spray the push out runners to keep them from rusting and the seals. I sat and read about what it is used for, came into work and ask my boss if it would hurt anything to spray it on patio door runner or a lock. He stated he uses it all over his boat he didn't' see why I could not use it. It helps repel water and lubricates.

I have not used it on the runner on the patio door yet. But am sure I will after I chip all the ice off the thing or it melts so I can wipe it down good. BUT I did use it on the back door lock.

I unlocked the door stood holding the door open and pulled the handle so the cylinder would go in and out. And SPRAY I DID....I DO NOT LIKE THE SMELL!!! Smells get to me very badly, but it soon disappeared since Most of it was on the outside.

I did not have any problem getting into the trailer last night and this morning no problem unlocking the door to get out either. YAAA..... I may even spray the door entry way to keep it from freezing along the bottom.
So Liquid Wrench Silicone you came to my rescue. Bud declared he never had any problem opening that door like I did, but now I don't have any problems either!

I like the fact that I could open it with no problem at all and it wasn't sticking shut like it had done for me last week.

Verna I am so sorry that you have been ill. I wondered why you had been missing in action! We miss our Verna when she isn't around!

Feel better real soon.

And Bravo for discovering a way to keep your doors working. You are a real smartie! (:>)

Luv ya,
Linda

I'm the same way, Verna. I take mostly the kids' tylenol and stuff like that because I just cannot tolerate anything stronger. I take their vitamins too. :D Hope you're feeling better!!
