Mom & Dad
62 years ago today your welcomed a little baby girl into your household. She was your second little girl, but joined not only her older sister, but six brothers. (later you added another baby girl).
(Can't let Martha Ann feel left out)
You have both passed on into eternity and are resting "Safe in the Arms of Jesus".
But, I want to reflect on the fact that while you were still here on earth you taught me many, many things. More then I will ever be able to put on paper and remember.
These special memories have at time carried me thru the day, as I remember things you told me and helped me deal with in my younger days. And tho you are not here today for me to personally thank you. I want to say Thanks Mom and Dad for all you have taught me and for my Christian upbringing.
I have made it to 62 and knowing that you Mom did not reach this age and were sick with the cancer for years before you passed. I am very grateful to God that I have the health I have and have not had to deal with that awful C stuff as of this time. God only knows what is in store for me across the next number of years. But he has been very good to me and blessed me across the years.
I wish you could have lived long enough to meet my daughter and granddaughter. And would still be here to give me advice from time to time and answer questions on how to cook certain things, etc.
Two of my brothers and my remaining sister called me today to wish me Happy Birthday Along with over 100 facebook family and friends...
I FEEL SO BLESSED!
I FEEL SO BLESSED!
Love from your baby girl who is now all grown up,

Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Verna! I can totally see you in both your mom and dad's faces. :)
What a heartwarming post. My dad died at 62 and as I approach that age, I can hardly believe he was that young. (Although at the time, it did not seem all that young) Good thing we have our faith and know where our loved ones are waiting for us! Have a great day.
