Journal--- Can I put my thoughts into words?

My friend Vicky (http://thewestraworld.blogspot.com/) has inspired me--she recently lost her journal that a good friend had given her that she was using to journal....this has inspired me to make myself a book for Thoughts, Visitors, stories and prayers to use in my upcoming surgery.

I took a spiral note book and made myself a book, Hopefully, I shall be able to have Bud have it with him on the day of surgery so that he can have everybody who stopped by to be there sign it, leave me notes, tidbits, etc....even a funny story or anything they want to say to cheer me up later.  Something that might make me smile when I am not feeling so chipper.
I'm sure that I shall not remember much of Monday. Whenever, I get put under for surgery I normally end up sleeping most of the day away. Therefore, I really would like to know who all stopped by to see me that day.
I am scheduled for a Bilateral complete mastectomy on Monday- Oct 3, 2011
We do not have the BRAC 1 and 2 test results back yet. If they come back positive they are saying I would also need to undergo oophrectomy.
So, blogging friends and family.  Please remember me in your prayers.

Thank you in advance!

Verna, what a great idea! I am sure this will bring you immense delight and comfort when you need it most. I am so sorry you have to go through with this, but I think you are being wise and prudent in going forward with this surgery. The surgery is manageable. I did not have much in the way of pain, just soreness. You will really just feel a lot of numbness as the nerves are cut in the process. Then it is a matter of relearning how to do things without the aid of chest muscle. I will be thinking of you, and praying for you! You know, you have everything I long for- to see and hold my own grandchildren is what I aspire to... Keep thinking of them, and HIM and that will see you through! Love and blessings to you!
