I've heard tell that God will not give us more than we can handle. Yet my question is why do things come to us in clusters of grapes?
This past week end Bud and I went to Joliet in hopes of having a wonderful evening, a good dinner for my birthday and some hot tub time. Got the hot tub time, but ended up eating at Burger King, then back to the hotel.
It was not long till I knew we were I'm for a very long night. Bud was in lots of pain. Tylenol didn't cut the pain. He refused to try and find a emergency room because he was afraid they would want to keep him and we were to pick up Mary at the OHare airport on Sunday noon.
Half way home with Mary, he pulled over and ask me to drive the rest of the way. Mary and I dropped him off in Clinton at the hospital on our way thru, and after I had taken her home I went back to see what was going on.
Verdict: diverticulosis .
He did come home with some very strong medicine. And lots of instructions.
Today finally he is feeling better. And for that I am very grateful to God. Hopefully soon things will be back to normal in our household. It has been a very long 6. 1/2 weeks since he had his hip surgery. Followed by a high temp, UTI infection and then low grade temp and extreme pain. We are both ready for some normal to come back into our lives!
Hopefully the heat will break soon, and I will be able to get back outside and do a bit of walking again. In the meanwhile we will try and hang in there regardless what comes our way.

So sorry to hear about Bud, but hopefully the meds will bring relief and some quiet times are in your futures. Prayers coming your way.
