Surgery was Oct 3, 2012. Exactly one year after my major surgery. Evie and Kim sat in the same chairs in the waiting room and the same table to eat breakfast.
They took him back around. Seven thirty, and surgery was to take up to two hours,hour recovery then upstairs......it's a good thing it was me in the waiting room and not him they had. They had to keep him in the recovery longer then normal, they couldn't get him in a room in ICU (heart center) the girls were too busy to take the orders. It was almost three pm before he went upstairs.
He would have been on their case in no time flat.
Thank you to our daughter Kim, his sister, Evie, and to Veda from church and my brother Levi for being there with me while he was in surgery. It made my day easier not sitting there alone!
They were successful in placing the graft going up thru the groin, SO yeah ya,ya, for not having to crack open his chest. Yet yesterday morning he was having severe Chest pains. They took X-rays and did tests to make sure it was not leaking and that it was not his heart. Determined it was just the procedure that caused his pain. Therefore he stayed another night.
Fighting another UT infection also. He was running a low grade temp yesterday. Hopefully when he comes home we can push water into him and keep it from getting as bad as it did after the hip surgery.
