Wednesday evening after work I headed my car north, bags packed.
Had a wonderful evening with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
Thursday morning, out of bed for a different adventure...a day with Kenley without Mommy around. :)
We had a good day together.
She also didn't want to be put down at nap time, and this grandma didn't want her to cry, so when nap time came. I was pleased to hold her so she would nap and not cry.
Her left eye watered a lot. Never did find out why. Was it an eye lash or had she bumped grandma's glasses or poked here head into my shirt collar? I'm glad it wasn't pink eye!
After a chicken dinner from KFC grandma headed back home, since I was to work on Friday.
Friday--- a day that I actually knew I would have some work to do... I was actually able to have something on my desk all day, and a bit left over for Monday morning. Since it is very slow at work, This makes me happy to know that there are things for me to do in the morning, and not just sit....Sitting at a desk all day long with nothing to do makes for a very, very long day.
Almost closing time on Friday I knew I was in trouble, and like normal, when things come up and you need to see or consult your doctor, it is a Friday late p.m. and they are not in the office.
So on Saturday morning I decided I really needed to take care of the issue so I carted myself to the DMH Express Med (Like urgent care). I knew what the problem was, but also knew that I needed a very strong antibiotic to get it out of my system.
A simple urine test confirmed what I already knew.... A monster of a bladder infection.
I am grateful that I only was charged a office visit and they were able to give me prescriptions so I could get the meds I needed. Dr. informed me had I let it go till Monday to see my own MD I would have landed in the hospital. That is how bad the infection was.
I sure am glad I didn't wait!
What causes a bladder infection? What contributes to it? His answer to me was "Stress, will bring it on rather rapidly. Guess the stress from the past number of weeks didn't help it.
There had been signs earlier in the week, but I really didn't realize that it was there and my ignoring the signs only let it get so bad that I knew what was wrong.
He also stated that we women were more prone to get them then the men were. (That hardly seems fair).
Just two more weeks then we are off to Texas for vacation.
I am looking forward to going. CAN'T WAIT....oh but guess I have to.
I must get all the bills paid at the office and the month of March closed before I can go. (:

Glad you are feeling better.
Glad you had a good day with Kenley.. we will have to talk about the holding her while she naps ;o) (I know it's hard to put her down- clay and I are both guilty of it at times too)
Oh, but I plead the 5th Kim, Grandmas are supposed to hold them and SPOIL THEM. :)
We get to spoil them then either send them home or leave.:)
j/k- Grandmas can hold sleeping babies as long as they want, especially cute ones like yours!
Hope you feel better soon, Verna!
Oh, and how I remember those days when they nap better in your arms than in the crib. I can't believe they are gone already. Glad you got some good cuddles in with Kenley. She is beautiful, but you don't need me to tell you that!
