I' ve been busy..

My daughter reminded me this morning that I had not blogged for a while..
I told her I was busy here at the office and at home.
Her reply was:

you bought a camper…
you are going to be babysitting the most wonderful granddaughter in the world tonight
you have me for a daughter
What could be more exciting??

YOU ARE RIGHT KIM.... I GET TO SEE MY WONDERFUL DAUGHTER, GRANDDAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW THIS EVENING. AND TOMORROW...
I HAVE YOU FOR A WONDERFUL DAUGHTER!!!!

And, Yes, we bought a 36 ft Camper to live in So I have been really busy.

What could be more exciting? At the moment I cannot think what it would be. Unless it will be looking forward to getting everything done the way I want it and be able to sit and enjoy God's beautiful sunshine outdoors and spending time with family. AND SPOILING THAT WONDERFUL GRANDDAUGHTER OF MINE!

MORE TO COME LATER.

Friday fun.

When it has been raining all night and you look outside to see the water spraying from the wheels of all the vehicles. You know you will not be going to go to Sea World like planned.

So it appears to be a perfect day to do this:

All day it appears as tho this is what you will see. Even when you go up to the 4th floor to see how far you can see.

Therefore, you make use of the guest washer and dryer and wash a couple pieces of clothing.

Check out their equipment, that you should have been using every day...ha,ha. never stepped on any of them.. Just Looked.

Stopped at the lobby and snapped a photo.

Late p.m. we went to the Red Lobster for lunch/dinner.

There are still lots of clouds around.
But for a moment the sun was shining and it was very humid.
Perhaps it is better that it was overcast here this week and the sun didn't shine a lot.
Bud would have had a terrible time breathing if it was extremely hot and humid.

So our last day her in Texas was spent quietly here at the motel. Just Chillin and relaxing.
The suit cases are packed, ready to put the last few things in and leave for the airport in the morning.

Oh yes, and believe it or not Bud is homesick. For home and our bird. When he admitted it, I had to really laugh. He gets so upset with Paco when he chatters and he has trouble hearing the tv at night time...Now he is homesick for him? I find it amusing.

Rain Day- Thursday

FORECAST : RAIN - THUNDERSTORMS---RAIN---RAIN.
That had been the forecast for earlier this week also, but we lucked out and had wonderful weather.
This morning it started raining. A good Texas thunderstorm.......Therefore, we found a movie cinema.

It had rained off an on all morning.. You could see the clouds were heavy, and rain was in the air.

I went to see "The Last Song"....I actually do not know what Bud went to see. We hardly ever go see the same movie. He goes to one and I to another.

The seats were plush compared to the ones in our theaters at home.
Like all - A medium popcorn and drink - well of course it was pricey... $ 12.00 to be exact

When we got out of the movies, it was pouring down rain. Was glad to get back to the motel.
Oh Look like normal - all week Nobody at the pool.

The photos of I 35 sure do show that it was nasty out there.

The sun we did not see today. A dreary day. They are glad for the rain since last Sept. they had a drout here and nothing was green.
It's just we were hoping for sunny weather this week. But since it was rainy we did make the most of our day.
We do not know if their forcast is correct or not, but if it is I am almost sure we will not venture out to Sea World tomorrow.

Zoo and Japanese Tea Gardens

Today we went to the Zoo and to the Japanese Tea Gardens.
Here are some of my favorite photos of the day.

The elephant trainer was showing off the elephant. They did all kinds of things.
It was very interesting.

He is beautiful!!!!

AT THE GARDENS.

Another wonderful day in San Antonio, Texas.

L B Johnson Ranch, Texas White House

Tuesday we took a bus tour to the LBJohnson ranch. Bud is not crazy about bus tours, but he did have a good time. Seeing the cemetery and the birthplace and history of our former president was very impressive.

And yes, some cattle on the LBJ ranch....Yep, Kim more cows..:)smiling.

The car that was also a boat.

When we got back to Fredricksburg, we ate lunch, looked in some of the shops, then went back to the park to wait for the bus to pick us up.

And even if Bud doesn't like structured tours, we did have a good time.

Monday-Bud's Birthday

From 160 ft below the earth to 160 ft above the earth. I did not think he would do it, but we did.

Wonder World Park, San Marcos, Texas.

As we started with the cave tour I wondered how far we would get, or if Bud would freak out on me. He did take his oxygen along down.

At this point the guide went into a little room. We could follow if we wanted to. And this is where they were coming out afterward.
I optioned to stay put.
Bud went. Will he fit throught that little hole?
Tight squeeze, but he made it.

160 ft below ground...

From the cave we took the elevator up into the tower

NOW we are 160 ft above ground.

Next was the train ride into the petting portion. Bud bought some deer feed. He got two small bags but should have bought a lot more.
The water fall stopped when the train got close and we went through the mountain.

They were gathered around the train. This little guy was a bully he got more then his fair share.

The baby goats. Some of these babies were born on Thanksgiving Day.

The peacocks were struting and showing off their feathers.

This is the tower we were up in....all the way up by the flag. The last of it we had to walk up the stairs to get to the top.

We had a wonderful time.
Tonight we went to Texas Road House so that he could have a good birthday meal.
