Easter Sunday Bud and I drove to Petersburg, IL to fellowship and eat with our son-in-law's parents.
They are living in their camper on the camp ground there. Kim and Clay took us for a tour of the grounds.

They say I acted like I had never seen a chicken before.

Oh, look there are some cows, I gotta have a photo of them too.

Sweet baby calf.

Some were just lounging around.

This one watched me like a hawk. To make sure I was not going to hurt the baby calf that was standing a few feet from her.

On the way home we saw this caboose in the yard.

On the way over we saw this railroad bridge.
So Snapped a couple of photos on the way back.

YOU CAN TAKE THE GIRL OUT OF THE COUNTRY, BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE THE COUNTRY OUT OF THE GIRL. Guess I am still a country girl at heart because I love the country.
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with friends and family.
Thanks Tom & Cheryl for having us.

Looks like you had a wonderful day with beautiful weather!!
I heard those cows make good steaks too!
That little brown cow (calf) is too, cute!
Just wanted to say Hi and thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I am not usually that introspective online, but once in a while I lay my thoughts all out there.
Read you post and totally agree about the country girl thing. I grew up on a farm and will always be a country girl.
Sounds like a great day. I am laughing that you took a picture of all the cows :) Only because I was driving home the other day and there was this field with lots of wildflowers and cows in the background and I was thinking what a pretty picture it would make. ha!
